The Young Leaders @ Middle School are set to present at their 1st road safety assembly this week.
I meet with them today to go over some details such as:
  • ways to introduce the initiative,
  • ways to use ICT in their presentations,
  • weekly key messages,
  • how the rewards system might work-certificates, display area etc.
Because of the schools location to the inner city, one of the first challenges for the Young Leaders will be to run a "SAFETY SLOGAN" community competition. The aim will be to develop some suitable catchy phrases, that can be displayed on the noticeboard on the corner on a busy inner city street.
To help the Young Leaders road safety campaign, I have sourced funding through Jane @ Road Safety Southland to supply the team with badges and high vis vests, as well as the printing of certificates for the weekly safety award. The winning road safety slogans for the community noticeboard, will also be funded by Jane.
THANKS AGAIN JANE!
